Inferno Looting Guide (Normal)

Inferno Looting Guide (Normal)

So you've found yourself going down to the inferno... what's next?

While it might normally seem like a challenge - with this guide's information we will make sure you don't die and get out with great loot.

Overview

This guide will focus on looting the non-boss kill accessible loot pile found in inferno variations 2/3 - view our other ones to learn how to do the bosses!

Two things to make sure before you attempt going down are:
1. Do I have enough healing?

2. Do I have 2 empty gold pouches?

Inferno Variations
There are 3 different variations of map design to the inferno in the normal mode.

Best Loot Without Killing The Boss
By far the best loot options in both the inferno 2/3 variation are a non-boss kill accessible loot pile. These piles are location in this specific room - with the loot piles location circled in red.

Loot Pile Room
Ironmace makes getting to these rooms very easy by making them extensions from the boss room - if you can get to the boss room you can get to this room. If you peek into the boss room and its the Necromancer - the safest way to rush through to this room is to have a teammate take aggro by poking the boss with a bow/spell or walking into the room first. Instantly after this - have another teammate rush to the door that leads to this room and open it as fast as you can. If the boss is the Ghost King - make sure to shield pot up and rush to the door, the Ghost King has been severely nerfed and after 50+ runs myself or my team has not died yet doing this.

IT IS IMPORTANT TO KNOW BOTH BOSSES WILL DEAGGRO AND RESET UPON ALL PLAYERS EXITING THE BOSS ROOM AREA
Once You're Inside The Room
Once you're inside the room the first step is to take care of the two demon dogs - you can do this simply by kiting them around the outside stairs, face tanking them, or training them down before they reach you. With a grey longbow you can kill a dog in about 7-8 shots.
After the demon dogs are dead the rest is very simple!
There are some amazing (and necessary) safespots that you need to learn to easily deal with the both the Centaur and Minotaur.
(which we currently dont have images of but will update with them later)

One of these safespots is located here:
It is located on the left side of where the bridge appears and is accessible by jump crouching up to a height that the centaur and minotaurs swings cannot reach you. Kiting the centaur or minotaur to you is as easy as tagging with a long range weapon from the spot - or getting aggro by walking up to it and running it there. Make sure to tell your friends to wait for you to hit the monsters a few times before they help in killing it.
Once the minotaur and centaur are dead - there is a lever located here:
Once activated a bridge will oepn up that allows you to reach the loot pile. Along with this a wraith will spawn. This wraith cannot move past the bridge and is easily safespot / meleeable from the bridge.
There is also a golden chest located in the middle of this room - if you have lockpicks or a friendly rogue/bard on your team then go for this as well.

The lever to open the bridge to the golden chest is located here:
After that the loot pile is all yours!

Keep in mind that you cannot successfully tank the zone at all once in the last phase of closing - find portals before this and get out with your loot.
